New Delhi: BJP leader Subramanian Swamy announced on Monday that he filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a Supreme Court directive to investigate the unsubstantiated allegations made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu claimed that adulterated ghee mixed with animal fat was used in the preparation of the holy prasadam at the Tirumala temple during the tenure of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

According to reports, CM Naidu has announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged use of animal fat in Tirupati laddus. These allegations have shocked the nation, prompting widespread calls for accountability and punishment for those responsible. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan stated on Saturday that he would undertake an 11-day penance to propitiate Lord Venkateswara.
